Session will highlight navigation models of delivery so that navigators can advocate for patients with cancer by utilizing evidence-based shared decision- making tools, best practices in coordinating care, and assessment strategies in addressing barriers to care. This forum will provide the navigator exposure with other navigation and survivorship care colleagues into evidence – based navigation research studies, quality improvement projects, and best practices utilizing pre- and post-data elements to enhance their navigation practice.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe navigation delivery models
  • Evaluate the role of an oncology navigator in various capacities: clinical, community, psychosocial, and financial
  • Define evidence-based navigation models
  • Analyze navigation strategies and implement in current practice
  • Recognize and discuss methodology in evidence-based navigation
  • Apply navigation research studies, quality improvement projects, and best practices to field of navigation
