Sharsheret is a national cancer organization that provides free psycho-social support to women and families facing breast or ovarian cancer, or those at higher diagnostic risk. Sharsheret’s team of social workers and a genetic counselor provide support, connect callers to resources and much more.
Sharsheret itself has an array of formal programs including peer support, the Thriving Again survivorship kit, Family Focus caregiver support, the Embrace program for those facing metastatic disease, a Busy Box kit for those facing cancer while raising young families, financial subsidies and much more.
Sharsheret also provides free cultural competency training webinars for health care professionals on a variety of topics. Trainings may be eligible for free CE credit.
Sharsheret programs are free and open to all.
